Networking Online WITHOUT the Ick with Anastasiya, Online Business Manager and Founder of The Sunshine Revolution [Ep. 10]

Here’s what you can expect from this episode:

Today we’re talking to a literal ray of sunshine! Anastasiya was one of the first people to make me feel comfortable in the online space. She reached out to set up a coffee chat and, despite my reservations, I showed up. We ended up talking candidly about our lives, our feelings about online business, and I walked away with a new friend. If you’re an online business owner, you might understand how weird and hard making friends can be at first. So many people reply within two interactions with a cold pitch, making it uncomfortably obvious how little they actually cared to get to know you.

Anastasiya’s kindness welcomed me at a time when I was feeling incredibly lonely with work-from-home life. Because of that, I knew she would be a totally Mary Oliver-esque guest! She has a creative practice that’s less about gaining notoriety and more about crafting a life that feels good for her and her clients. We ended up chatting about what it takes to create community online and I love her emphasis on being the first one to show up. For her, building that community meant showing up to Zoom rooms that were almost completely empty and staying dedicated to that for two years before really gaining traction.

We're also chatting about:

  • Navigating language barriers

  • The vulnerability hangover after sharing your art online

  • What it looks like to show up first - Brave Mondays

  • How to optimize your productivity systems

More about Wild Geese:

Wild Geese aims to bring together the creative entrepreneurs, community organizers, and shadow artists coming into the light to cheer each other on in carving a new path. I’m your host, Anna Corinne - a NYC based podcast strategist and actress. Think of this as your little plot in the woods where you can lay down a picnic blanket, gather with your friends, and gab!

Every Thursday, I’m sitting down with community organizers, creative entrepreneurs, writers, and generally fascinating people. I want listening to Wild Geese to feel like night in a fluffy chair, cat purring at your feet, warm light creating a glow, and all of your friends in one room together.
